For the 2020-2021 school year, most of our regular club offerings are running virtually. Any interested students should contact the club advisor to sign up or to receive more information.

    Art Club Mrs. Hargrove We will meet virtually, through a designated Zoom. Students can use it as studio time for their own interests/projects, with me to guide them, and I will have suggestions and offerings as well. We will most likely use both the iPad and traditional materials to create with. Meetings will be on Mondays, every other week to start, and we will move into more often if there is the interest.
    Astronomy Club Mr. Datz The Astronomy Club is for any student who has an interest in stargazing, celestial objects, space, and/or the physical universe as a whole. Unfortunately, we can not meet in person this year for our usual stargazing nights. However, we will meet virtually and share interesting stories and photos on Google Classroom (code: 5ilj6ic) to explore this incredible branch of science.
    Bowling Club Ms. McCabe, Mr. Tomashek, Bowling Club typically runs from December through February and includes weekly, after-school bus trips to The Big Event in Cherry Hill. Curently we are awaiting word to see if The Big Event will be able to host us this year so stay tuned for more information, likely closer to December.

    Debate Club/Mock Trial Mrs. Frasco The NJ Bar Association is planning a virtual competition this year. Practices will likely be held via Zoom - email Mrs. Frasco if you are interested.
    Drama Club Ms. Garcia-Gordon Drama Club will be run with meetings via Zoom - interested students should email Ms. G to be added to our Google Classroom, which is where we will have our discussion boards. We will be working on inviting guest speakers who have experience in professional theater, and we will hopefully put together a virtual cabaret later in the year.
    Environmental Club Mrs. J. Ryan Environmental Club will be meeting every second Wednesday of the month at 12:30 PM via Zoom. We will continue to work with local organizations to support clean up events. Likewise, we will once again be selling PuraVida bracelets. Come join us!
    Fashion Design Club Mrs. Schafer Fashion design club will be meeting thursdays @3 via zoom. We plan to discuss upcoming projects and needs in the area. Some meetings will be in person on Thursday’s to organize materials But will be limited to 10 club members and masks must be worn. Please email Mrs Schafer for google classroom code.
    Film Club Mr. Camerieri Any students interested in film-making should contact Mr. Camerieri for the next project or meeting of Film Club.
    Green Thumbs Mr. Bill Schmidt Any students interested in gardening should contact Mr. Bill for the next project or meeting of the Green Thumbs.
    GSA (Gay-Straight Alliance) Mrs. Boccia GSA meetings will likely occur in the afternoons once or twice each month. Possible activities include development and upkeep of GSA website, plan for Pride Month, collaborate with HOPE, etc.
    The Hawker Mrs. Mathews-Bowen Our former school newspaper, The Hawker, could be making a comeback! Contact Mrs. Mathews-Bowen if you are interested in contributing.
    H.O.P.E. Mr. Greway Hawks Opposed to Prejudice Everywhere is a group for middle and high school students and staff who meet monthly (typically in the evening via Zoom) to discuss issues of inequity among Haddon Township students and possible ways to educate the school and community about those concerns. Any students who are interested can email Mr. Greway for more information and the Zoom link for the next meeting.
    High School Democrats of America Mrs. Mathews-Bowen The HTHS chapter of the HSDA is up and running! Anyone interested should visit their website at
    HT Honor Society Mrs. Frasco HT Honor Society students must apply in their junior year and have an eligibile GPA in order to apply. The Honor Society is a service organization that often helps younger students with tutoring services.
    Interact Mrs. Schafer Interact will be meeting via zoom every Monday. Currently the club meets at 3pm via zoom (subject to change of time). We are discussing and brain storming ideas for helping our community in this very different world we are in. We are still keeping connections with Urban promise and hope to help the students there in some capacity this year.
    Knowledge Bowl Ms. Emmerling, Mrs. Mathews-Bowen, The team is still awaiting guidance on if/how their competitive season will take place. Practices typically begin in November and competitions start in the new year. You can contact Mrs. Mathews-Bowen if interested in joining the team but new information will be disseminated once its received.
    Madrigal and Hawkapella Singers Mr. Baccaro Online rehearsals are weekly on Monday afternoons. Auditions have already been held in Mr. B's choir classes.
    Media Center Book Clubs Mrs. Tagmire Do you love reading and talking about books? The Media Center runs several year-long book clubs. The two primary clubs are (1) Readers' Roundtable, where you share about a book you are currently reading and why you would recommend it; and (2) Project Lit, a monthly book group dedicated to reading books that focus on raising awareness about social justice issues and spotlighting books by and about people of color. All students are welcome.
    Orchestra Mrs. Van Buren Orchestra is planned for the Zoom platform and is open to new members. We already have a G Classroom set up with 62 interested members! There is no audition for this club, and our rehearsals over Zoom are beginning the week of October 19th. We will meet on Wednesday afternoons.     SAT Math Club Mr. Datz If you would like to improve your PSAT or SAT math score, this is the club for you! On Google Classroom (code: isrdgxs), you can complete regularly posted practice problems that give you a feel for what type of problems you will see on standardized tests. There will be a Khan Academy classroom set up so that you can continue to progress throughout the year. We will also attempt to meet virtually throughout the year to go over some challenging concepts together.
    Stage Crew Mrs. Schafer Stage crew will be meeting Monday nights this fall, with limited space, to build sets for the fall play movie. At this time we will primarily be working outside the auditorium. The crew is limited to 10 students at a time and masks must be worn for the duration of crew.     Student Council Mr. P. Turkot Student Council plans a number of events throughout the year and this year we will be getting creative! If you would like to find out more about how to participate in these events or have any suggestions for new events, contact the StuCo officers or your class officers.

    Yearbook Mrs. Hargrove We will be meeting once a week, unless near a deadline, when we may have an extra meeting. Our club has typically been on Wednesdays, and will stay so unless too many members can't make it that day. "Jobs" include layout, adding captions/text, editing & corrections, taking photos, interviewing staff and students, creating visuals, or photo editing in Photoshop.
