English 9H

• In order to create the honors class, the high school administers a test to help assess an incoming student's preparedness to work at the honors level.  This is a weighted course in calculating grade point average.  Expectations are high, reading at an advanced level is necessary, and writing skills should be excellent.  Students should expect to be participants in the classroom.

• Letters are sent to each student's home with information regarding our selection process for the honors class.

• The testing date is February 7, 2019.

• The test will be conducted in the high school cafeteria from 8:25 - 9:25.  Please arrive by 8:15.

• Another letter will be sent to all those taking the test, following calculation of all results of the selection process.

• Bring the requested sample writing (1-2 typed pages, double spaced) on the exam day.
